Dear Lord, I Come To You

Dear Lord, I come to You, in prayer,

For it’s You, who knows what’s best.

So many problems I can’t solve,

And I’ve felt extremely depressed.

Try, as I might, I cannot solve

The problems that I face,

So Lord, I come to You for help

And my worries for You to replace.

I come to You, each day in prayer,

For I know that You will hear

My plead to help me understand,

And take away my fear.

Forgive me Lord, when times I doubt,

For that’s not how I wish to be.

Please give me strength to always trust

That You will hear my plea.

You’ve never let me down, my Lord,

Even in my most difficult days.

Please let me see the bright side,

Even through all the troubling haze.

And Lord, when I am feeling pain,

And it seems a little much

Please let me know that You are near,

And let me feel You’re touch.

And Lord, when I am troubled,

Help me put my fears behind

And think and pray for others

That have so much on their mind.
