~*~ Forbidden Love ~*~
![]()
Today my love, I thought of you
And how we first did meet.
The memories of our love affair, of us
Trying desperately to be discreet.
Desire overwhelmed us
as you spoke words oh so gently;
You told me of your thoughts and dreams,
of your wishes -- so confidently.
As time went on we then did know
That we would become as one;
Would time soon tell us differently?
Or -- had we finally won?
The days were blank and filled with tears
The nights were oh so lonely;
But you became my only thought:
To be my one and only.
You leave me breathless with your words
That you so carefully pen.
I go to bed, I close my eyes
I dream of you -- within.
Our forbidden love is so very strong ...
It rules our bodies and minds;
To feel your caress, to feel your breath
Another as good, I could never find.
I long to be beside you
In the shadows of the night
Our lustful bodies touching
All the way up until daylight
The feeling that invades my mind
Hidden deep within my soul
We're partners in complicity
Of a great love -- forbidden -- on hold.
I reach out my arms to you
Each night in all my dreams
I envision your body, so strong,
Every moment, so it seems.
So if tomorrow never comes
Remember this that I now say:
Hold me in your thoughts and dreams
Our Forbidden Love prevails -- Always.
