"Our Last Date"

I wish that I had wings

Just so that I could fly

In hopes that I would see you

Even though I know I'd cry

I think of you so often

and wonder how you are

I wonder do you think of me

Or are your thoughts afar?

We're told that we'll forget someday

But I'm not sure that's true

There's never been a day go by

I haven't thought of you

So tonight I'll close my eyes so tight

And see your face once more

I wish it were in person though

It is you that I long for

To feel your body next to mine

your arms held me so tight

We laughed we cried and we made love

Far into the night

The next day then it happened

We kissed and said goodbye

It was to be our "Last Date"

And we both broke down and cried.

I knew that this was over

I think you felt that too

But in my heart I know you'll stay

Until my life is through
