It came to be on a starry night

We would soon learn of Eternal Light.

In the sky it shone so bright and clear

People came from far and near.

A star that was bright and had such a glow

Like the glistening shine of a new fallen snow.

I knew I must follow that glow in the sky

I wanted the answer; I had to know why.

A baby was born on this very day

In a manger they lay him filled with hay.

The sound of trumpets and angels singing

Many gifts to Christ, people were bringing.

The son God gave, to save us from sin

Just open your heart and let Him come in

Let us  rejoice on this His birthday

Let Him be the one that shows us the way.
