September Eleven, Two Thousand One

Much destruction, then begun.

Lives were destroyed, chaos we saw

Heartaches and sadness, for one and all.

As we look back, we still can feel

That day in our lives, that seemed unreal.

Vicious attacks, from air to ground

Ears never to forget, that terrible sound.

Hearts still are bleeding, for those who died

And for ones left behind, with heartaches inside.

United we'll stand though, and build it all back.

The ruins we saw, from the 9 - 11 attack.

A country so strong, we continue to fight

For freedom still rings, from morning 'till night.

They'll never break our spirit, try as they might

America stands firm, with liberty and light.
